The human behind the workHi, I am Monique Stevens
For more than 20 years, I've been helping people navigate growth, change, and the wonderfully complicated experience of working with other humans.
Some days that looks like coaching a leader through a difficult conversation. Other days it means designing a retreat, facilitating a team discussion, or helping an organization make sense of a transition.
At the heart of all of it is a simple belief: most people already carry the answers they're looking for. Sometimes they just need space to hear them.
I'm an organization development consultant who loves an org chart, a coach who believes in the power of reflection, and a facilitator who knows the best conversations rarely happen on a perfectly scripted agenda.
I blend strategy, curiosity, intuition, and a healthy dose of humor to help people and organizations find their way forward..
I bring an unusual combination of experiences to this work.
My StoryThe Story Behind What I Do
I started my career with one simple desire: to help people have a better experience at work.
At first, I thought human resources was the path. It gave me the opportunity to support employees and understand how organizations operate. But over time, I realized I was drawn to a different kind of work. I wanted to help create workplaces where people could thrive, not just respond when something wasn't working.
That's what led me to organization development.
Through organization development, I discovered the fascinating intersection of people, culture, leadership, and change. I loved helping organizations become stronger and more effective, while also creating environments where people felt engaged, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
Later, coaching entered the picture.
What I found was that organizational change and individual growth are deeply connected. Even the best strategy depends on people being willing to step into something new. Coaching gave me a way to support that human side of change, helping people gain clarity, navigate uncertainty, and take meaningful action.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of those worlds.
Whether I'm coaching a leader, facilitating a team conversation, or partnering with an organization through change, the goal remains the same: helping people and organizations grow in ways that feel meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with who they are.
Beyond the Worka few things about me
When I'm not coaching, facilitating, or consulting, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband Keith and our daughter Grace, hanging out with our four-legged companion Miss Charlie, listening to a podcast, or searching for an excuse to buy another office supply.
I'm fueled by equal parts creativity and curiosity. That spirit shows up in my work, but it also shows up in my life. It's one of the reasons I was drawn to Reiki and other practices that encourage reflection, intuition, and reconnecting with our own internal knowing.
I believe some of life's best questions start with a simple phrase:
What if?
What if you trusted yourself a little more?
What if the thing you're hoping for is actually possible?
What if everything worked out?
Those are the kinds of questions that continue to inspire me, both personally and professionally.
